Replication Games: A Collaborative Research Initiative

Researchers in the Replication Games form teams of 3-5 to replicate studies. Before the event, they read the paper and plan responsibilities. The event runs from 8:30 am to 4 pm, after which they write a summary report. Participants receive co-authorship on a meta-paper and can submit their replication for publication.

Research & Politics Article

Our chair and collaborators published a piece in Research & Politics. The article reviews and summarizes current reproduction and replication practices in political science. They review data availability policies for 28 leading political science journals and present the results from a survey of editors about their willingness to publish comments and replications. They make the case for standards and practices that may help increase data availability, reproducibility, and replicability in political science.
